7 Reasons to Visit Noah’s Ark This Summer

This is a sponsored campaign sharing 7 reasons to visit Noah’s Ark in the Wisconsin Dells. I grew up visiting this waterpark and am thrilled to share reasons to love it.

As a kid, both my dad’s brother and his sister had condos in the Wisconsin Dells. No surprise, we had family vacations there constantly.

In the winter, we would cross country ski and play games by the fire. In the summer, we pretty much lived at Noah’s Ark.

I have so many fond memories of the bumper boats, floating in the wave pool, and going down what felt like mountain high water slides, screaming in delight all the way.

When I took my kids there for the first time, I was blown away by how much it had grown since I’d last visited. My kids fell in love with the size of the America’s largest water park, and there’s even more since we visited.

While the bumper boats no longer exist, the wave pool still does – and they now have two wave pools for much of the summer. Beyond that, they’ve expanded and added so many new attractions, you don’t know where to begin!

7 Reasons to Visit Noah’s Ark Waterpark

It’s America’s Largest Waterpark

No matter what your preference, there’s something to love. They have over 85 acres of activities, ranging from two lazy rivers to two wave pools to an 18 hole mini golf course to a 4D theater and more.

For little kids, they have four different kids’ areas that include smaller and gentler slides designed for them, as well as water cannons, water playgrounds, a dump bucket, and more.

For thrill seekers, head to the jaw dropping plunge slides or mat races. There are slides and water coasters for those riding by themselves and those spending the day with friends.

Noah’s Ark keeps adding more attractions

When I visited as a child, I could explore all of Noah’s Ark in a day, then come back the next day and enjoy it all over again. Noah’s Ark has grown so much, and they add new attractions every year.

This year? They added an 18 hole mini golf course. Themed with an animal safari, one round is included daily for guests staying at Flamingo Motel and Suites, with others paying $2.95 (plus tax) for season passholders and $5.95 (plus tax) for other guests.

It’s a great way to take a break from all the water activities when you need it!

Have you ever experienced a 4D movie?

Noah’s Ark even offers this. They have a 4D theater where you can experience the action packed show Journey 2: Mysterious Island.

It’s a dive in theater, where you smell what’s happening onscreen, duck the objects flying at you, and get splashed along the way. It’s a cross between a ride and a movie, and you definitely don’t want to miss it!

Father’s Day weekend special events

First, admission on Father’s Day weekend costs just $24.99, and $2 from each ticket sold benefits the Jimmy V Foundation.

Bring your dads with you, as there’s a belly flop contest on Sunday, June 16. They have the chance to compete to win prizes and be crowned the big kahuna. No matter who wins, how can you not want to watch this contest?

Arktoberfest celebrates all that makes Wisconsin… Wisconsin

The weekend of August 30 and 31 pushes the calendar ahead to October. Enjoy beer, food, polka, and all your favorite slides and attractions for an end of summer celebration of Wisconsin’s German heritage.

You’ll find over a dozen regional beer vendors, a German-themed buffet, and live entertainment. While admission to the event is free (yay!), you still need an admission ticket for the water attractions. There are also beer sample cards and buffet tickets for purchase at this unique event.

Rent a cabana for a relaxing meeting point

While I tend to love exploring the slides and water coasters, my kids are of an age when they want to do things on their own or with their friends. We often travel with my parents, who aren’t as active. My mom always volunteers for the job to “watch our stuff.”

Noah’s Ark has 33 cabanas around the site available for rent. The cabanas hold between 6 and 12 people, depending on which you reserve. You can reserve cabanas online, and since it’s first come, first served, you may want to do so to avoid any disappointment.

It’s the perfect way to guarantee shade to take a break from a day of fun in the sun. They all also come with a locker key (with deposit) to store your valuables during your visit.

There’s so much to do, you can keep coming back to experience it all

Noah’s Ark is celebrating 40 years of fun this summer. They’ve grown so much since first opening that you literally don’t have the time to experience it all in one day.

They have two wave pools, two lazy rivers, four kids’ areas for little ones, an 18 hole mini golf course, and that 4D theater. That doesn’t even include the more than 50 water sides. Whether you want to enjoy the over quarter mile long Black Anaconda water coaster or the 10 story high, nearly vertical Point of No Return… you need to come back again. And again.
