24 Gifts for Coffee Lovers at Every Price

Shopping for gifts for coffee lovers gets tricky when they already own a coffee maker and more mugs than cabinet space. These are the coffee gifts I use at home, the ones I’ve given my family, and one I’m buying this year.

A Door County Coffee advent calendar surrounded by coffee accessories, including a moka pot, syrups, spices, a travel mug, and two bags of Sightglass coffee beans.

Some of them make better coffee, and some just make coffee more fun. They work for Christmas, birthdays, or a just-because gift for the person who can’t start the day without a cup.

Some links in this article are affiliate links that may earn me a commission if you purchase through them.

How I Picked These Coffee Gifts

Coffee is a daily ritual in my house. My husband is the bigger coffee drinker, and I’m the one making lattes at home so I’m not spending a fortune at the coffee shop.

Most of these are things we own and use all the time. A few brands sent me samples to try, and I only kept the ones I’d happily buy myself.

I sorted everything by price, so you can start with stocking stuffers under $25 and work up to the big splurges. The prices I list are regular list prices, but almost everything here is either on sale right now or likely to go on sale over the holiday season, especially around Black Friday, so keep an eye out for a deal.

Coffee Gifts Under $25

These small coffee gifts make great stocking stuffers, coworker gifts, or add-ons to a bigger present.

Coffee Syrup Pumps

Three gold-colored bottle pumps with clear plastic dip tubes lying on a wooden surface.

Around $6 on Amazon (four-pack)

If you’re gifting coffee syrups, add a set of pumps. Syrup bottles don’t come with them, and pouring straight from the bottle gets sticky fast.

These pump cleanly without clogging or spraying, and each one twists to lock so it won’t leak. Get the four-pack so every bottle has its own pump.

Rechargeable Milk Frother

Black handheld electric milk frother and a USB charging cable on a wooden surface.

Around $9 on Amazon

My aunt gave me a milk frother when I graduated from college, and I’ve owned one ever since. I use it for the warm milk in my lattes and for hot chocolate, and you really should try frothing your hot chocolate.

I love that this one is rechargeable, so I’m not replacing batteries like I did with that first one. It comes with a stand to hold it while it charges, though I keep mine in a drawer.

Latte Art Stencils

A stack of translucent plastic coffee stencils with various patterns, including a snowflake and stars, next to two stainless steel shakers on a wooden counter.

Around $12 on Amazon

A friend gave me these coffee decorating stencils years ago, and I still use them all the time. They just make me happy.

The set has 36 designs, from seasonal ones like a candy cane to stars and smiley faces. It also comes with two stainless steel mesh shakers, and I keep one filled with cocoa powder and the other with cinnamon so I can match the topping to whatever coffee I make that day.

The mesh tops never clog. Hold the stencil close to the foam, and the designs come out really well.

Chocolate-Covered Espresso Beans

Around $15 on Amazon

These make a fantastic stocking stuffer, and they’re affordable. I love the mix of dark, milk, and white chocolate, since it keeps every handful a little different.

The seven-ounce bag is resealable, and you can often find it on sale for under $10. If your coffee lover also has a sweet tooth, add a jar of my homemade Espresso Hot Fudge Sauce to the gift.

Airtight Coffee Canister

Around $16 on Amazon

The fresher the beans, the better the coffee. This stainless steel canister blocks air and light, and a one-way valve lets fresh beans release gases without letting air back in.

My favorite detail is the date dial on the lid, so you always know when you opened that bag. The scoop hangs right on the side, so nobody has to hunt for it.

Runamok Coffee-Infused Maple Syrup

A bottle of Runamok coffee-infused Vermont organic maple syrup.

Around $20 on Amazon

When you love the flavor of coffee outside your morning cup, this is a fun consumable to share. The coffee is definitely there, but it doesn’t overpower the maple.

It’s delicious over pancakes, and it’s just as good stirred into your coffee for a maple latte. Next, I’m making maple scones, since I think it’ll give them a fabulous twist.

I love the connection to Vermont, since both my kids went to college there, and we have such fond memories of it. Runamok’s syrups are certified organic and Bird Friendly by the National Audubon Society, and they work with family sugarmakers statewide. Now I just miss my maple creemees.

Stovetop Moka Pot

A metal Moka pot with a black handle and lid knob sitting on a wooden countertop.

Around $20 on Amazon

I bought my husband this moka pot years ago, and it’s still going strong. When we vacationed in Italy, the house we stayed in had one, and he fell in love. He wasn’t wrong.

A programmable coffee maker is great, but somehow this makes any coffee taste better. It’s easy to use and clean, and it brews six small, espresso-style servings on the stove in just a few minutes.

Digital Coffee Scale

Around $24 on Amazon

A coffee scale is the next step for anyone getting serious about their coffee. Scoops aren’t consistent, since a scoop of light roast weighs more than the same scoop of dark roast, and the grind changes it, too.

Weighing the beans and the water lets you make the same great cup every day and adjust it when something tastes off. This one measures to a tenth of a gram and has a built-in timer for pour-over and espresso.

It’s small enough to fit under most espresso machines and recharges via USB-C. It also tares to zero on its own when you set your dripper on it.

Coffee Gifts Under $50

This price range covers most gift exchanges, and each one feels like a real treat.

Syruvia Coffee Syrups

Two bottles of Syruvia pure cane syrup in French Vanilla and Hazelnut flavors.

Around $29 for a four-pack

I love making lattes at home for a fraction of what coffee shops charge, and good syrups make a huge difference. My favorites from Syruvia are Hazelnut and French Vanilla.

They’re delicious without being too sugary sweet, and each one tastes exactly like the flavor on the label. They skip the high-fructose corn syrup and artificial dyes, and every bottle makes more than 50 drinks.

You can also build your own four-pack on their site. For a smaller gift, grab a single bottle instead and tuck it into a stocking.

The bottles don’t come with pumps, so add the syrup pumps above to your gift.

Coffee Mug Warmer

Around $31 on Amazon

I bought my parents a mug warmer for Christmas last year, and it was one of those gifts they never knew they needed. They use it constantly now.

It’s so easy to sit down with a hot cup of coffee and get distracted by anything. Instead of reheating it over and over (it never tastes the same), the warmer keeps it at your chosen temperature.

There are four heat settings and an automatic shutoff timer, so you don’t have to worry about leaving it on.

Paddywax Cappuccino Bistro Candle

Paddywax Cappuccino soy wax candle in a ceramic mug with a matching box on a wooden surface.

$32 on the Paddywax site

When you love coffee, you love its smell even when you aren’t drinking a cup. This soy candle smells exactly like a slightly sweet cappuccino, with notes of coffee bean, cocoa, toasted caramel, and warm vanilla.

The ceramic vessel has a tiny cappuccino painted on the side and a little pour spout. The container is food-safe, so once the candle burns down, you can clean it out and keep using it in the kitchen.

It comes in a sturdy, pretty box, so it’s ready to give as soon as it arrives.

Ocean Bottle Peak Brew Flask

A teal reusable travel mug with an infinity loop logo on the front.

$42 for the 20-ounce ($40 for the 12-ounce)

I always spill coffee on myself with a traditional thermos or travel mug. I first used Ocean Bottle on a trip to Alaska, and this flask is the first one where I haven’t had that problem.

Twist the top, and it opens just enough to let you sip without making a mess. It doesn’t leak, it keeps coffee hot or cold for up to nine hours, and it fits in a car cup holder.

It comes in 12-ounce and 20-ounce sizes, and the price difference is only $2. Who are we kidding? Get the 20-ounce for the amount of coffee your favorite coffee lover actually drinks. It’s dishwasher-safe, though I hand-wash all my reusable cups.

Civilized Coffee Toppings Gift Box

A gift box containing seven labeled jars of Civilized Coffee drink toppings, including cocoa, cinnamon, vanilla sugar, salted caramel, orange zest, nutmeg, and ginger powder.

Around $46 on Amazon

These toppings are an easy way to take your coffee up a notch. The box has seven flavors, with cocoa, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, orange zest, salted caramel, and vanilla sugar.

I had so much fun experimenting with my own latte creations. My favorite is a spiced latte with ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a little vanilla sugar when the weather turns cool. If you like warm spices in your coffee, try my Spicy Cinnamon Mocha, too.

Civilized Coffee Instant Cold Brew Kit

A jar of Civilized Coffee instant cold brew powder, a shaker bottle, a metal spoon, and a recipe card on a wooden surface.

Around $50 on Amazon

This kit has everything you need for café-style cold brew, and there’s no brewing involved. It comes with Civilized Coffee’s instant cold brew, a reusable shaker bottle, a stainless steel spoon, and a recipe card.

The coffee is so fine it mixes right in, and the shaker means you can make iced coffee anywhere. I love the recipe card, which tells me exactly how much of each ingredient to use for my preferred lattes.

The kit makes about 100 servings, so the cost per glass is really affordable. When it runs out, you can buy the cold brew powder on its own to refill it.

Coffee Gifts Under $100

Have someone you really want to spoil this year? These are for that coffee lover.

Sightglass Coffee Trio

Three bags of Sightglass whole bean coffee: Blueboon, Owl’s Howl, and Grizzly Peak.

A little over $50 on Amazon

Sightglass started in 2009 with a tiny coffee cart in San Francisco, and today they source coffee directly from growers and roast in small batches. This trio includes two of their certified organic favorites, Owl’s Howl and Blueboon, and all three come as whole beans (pair them with the burr grinder below).

The bags smell amazing before you even open them. Blueboon is my favorite, and it’s so smooth that it makes total sense why it’s a cornerstone of their lineup.

Its tasting notes are milk chocolate, mandarin, and honeysuckle, and I really do taste them. I drink it with just a bit of oat milk, since it doesn’t need any flavorings or syrups.

If your coffee lover lives in or is visiting San Francisco or Los Angeles, Sightglass also offers barista classes and coffee education. I didn’t have time when I was in San Francisco with my family, but next time I really want to take the latte art class.

Door County Coffee Advent Calendar

Door County Coffee advent calendar with three small bags of coffee placed in front.

Around $66 on Amazon

I gave my husband this coffee Advent calendar last year, and it was one of his favorite gifts. He did his best to stretch out the different coffees so he could enjoy them as long as possible.

Each of the 24 doors hides a pre-measured bag that brews a full pot. You’ll find holiday flavors like Candy Cane and Jingle Bell Java, everyday favorites, and four coffees you can only get in the calendar.

Door County Coffee makes a limited number each year, so don’t wait too long. Looking for more ideas? I rounded up all my favorite Advent calendars for this year, too.

Electric Burr Coffee Grinder

Around $80 on Amazon

This is what I’m giving my husband for Christmas this year. Freshly ground beans taste so much better than coffee that’s been sitting around already ground, even if you keep it airtight or in the freezer.

You can absolutely make good coffee with pre-ground beans. A burr grinder is just the next step for your favorite coffee connoisseur, since the burrs crush beans to an even size instead of chopping them unevenly like a blade grinder.

This one has 30 grind settings, from fine enough for espresso to coarse enough for a French press. You can get a manual grinder for less money, but when I’m tired and cranky, I don’t have the energy or fortitude to turn a handle.

Splurge-Worthy Coffee Gifts Over $100

These cost more, but they’re the coffee gifts people remember. Watch for sales here especially, since a discount on a bigger-ticket gift saves you real money.

VacOne Air Brewer

A black plastic coffee dripper sitting on top of a clear glass carafe.

$149.95 at Scheels

I got this from my local Buy Nothing group, and I honestly don’t understand why anyone would give it up. It makes the smoothest, low-acid coffee, and it’s incredibly fast and easy to use.

Add your grounds and water, let it steep, and press the button. It brews hot coffee in under a minute or cold brew in about four minutes, and I use it when I just want a cup or two.

It charges via USB, and you don’t need to buy paper filters. The trickiest part was realizing you have to remove the safety plug to charge it, but once I knew that, it was a snap.

Lore Coffee Roasters Haggard Select Box

$162 plus shipping

My friend Jessica and her husband, Tristan Haggard, have lived in the Andes of Ecuador for 16 years, where they run Finca Lindero, a regenerative farm in Loja. They finally launched their own coffee line, and I’m so excited about it.

For this first collection, Tristan picked four lots from nearby producer Bernie Uhe, whose La Noria farm has placed in the top tier of Ecuador’s Cup of Excellence since its first harvest in 2021.

The box has four eight-ounce bags of Direct Trade specialty coffee, and Lore Coffee Roasters roasts every one. The coffees rotate as new lots arrive, so each box is a little different, making it a great gift for the coffee lover who already has every gadget.

Atlas Coffee Club Gift Subscription

$189 for a year ($99 for six months)

A coffee subscription is the gift that keeps on giving. The year-long gift sends three bags every three months, each from a different country, so it’s always something new.

Each shipment includes tasting notes and a postcard about that country’s coffee-growing methods and history. The bags themselves are gorgeous, too.

You can pick whole bean, ground, or pods for Keurig or Nespresso machines (pod subscriptions only ship monthly). Plus, shipping is free in the US.

This is my favorite last-minute gift. Email the gift instead of mailing it, choose the arrival date, and add a note so they know it’s from you.

Empstorm Espresso Machine

Around $225 on Amazon

If the DeLonghi below is more than you want to spend, the Empstorm is a highly rated espresso machine that costs a fraction of the price. It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles, but it still makes a great cup.

You can pull espresso or cold brew and froth milk with the steam wand to make just about anything you want. It comes with a portafilter, tamper, and milk pitcher, so you can start making lattes right away.

It’s also much smaller, so it fits on more countertops, like the one in my tiny kitchen.

Technivorm Moccamaster Coffee Maker

Around $369 on Amazon

If your coffee lover doesn’t drink espresso, this drip coffee maker is a favorite. Each one is handmade in the Netherlands and tested before it leaves the factory.

It brews a full 40-ounce pot in four to six minutes, and a switch lets you brew a half pot instead. It also stops brewing when you pull out the carafe. My husband pours a cup as soon as there’s enough, and he loves not having to clean up spills.

I love all the colors it comes in, so you can match it to your kitchen. It also comes with a five-year warranty.

Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine

Around $700 on Amazon

This is probably the most-gifted espresso machine out there, and this is one of those times when following the trend is a good thing. It has a built-in burr grinder, so you can skip buying a separate one.

It grinds right into the portafilter, so you go from beans to espresso in under a minute. That matters when you need caffeine right away.

The steam wand produces smooth microfoam for latte art at home, and it includes a milk jug, tamper, and cleaning tools. Register the machine, and Breville sends you two free bags of specialty coffee.

DeLonghi PrimaDonna Aromatic Espresso Machine

Around $2,500 on Amazon

This is the true splurge if you really want to be a barista at home. Yes, it costs a lot, but think about how much you (or your favorite coffee aficionado) spend at coffee shops every year, and suddenly the price tag doesn’t seem so bad.

I have friends who own this machine, and they adore it. They can’t wait to make me coffee whenever I’m over.

It recognizes your beans and sets the grind, dose, and temperature, so there’s no guesswork. With 38 hot and iced recipes, from espresso and cold brew to iced lattes and flat whites, plus milk frothing for dairy or plant-based milk, it really is a coffee bar on your counter.

What Do You Get a Coffee Lover Who Has Everything?

Skip another mug and give them a tool they’d never buy for themselves. A burr grinder, a coffee scale, or an airtight canister all make the coffee they already love taste better.

Specialty coffee is another safe bet, since it gets used up. A box of small-lot beans lets them try something new without adding clutter.

Can You Give Ground Coffee as a Gift?

Yes, and if your coffee lover doesn’t own a grinder, ground coffee is the better choice. Whole beans won’t do them much good without one.

Ask the roaster for a grind that matches how they brew. A drip coffee maker, a French press, and a moka pot each need a different grind.

How Long Does Coffee Stay Fresh?

Whole beans taste best within about a month of the roast date, and ground coffee loses flavor much faster once you open it. Check the roast date on the bag, not the best-by date.

Keep coffee sealed in an airtight container at room temperature, away from light and heat. That’s why a good canister makes such a useful gift.

Can You Use Coffee Syrups in Iced Coffee?

Yes, and syrups work better than sugar in cold drinks because they’re already liquid. Granulated sugar sinks to the bottom of a cold glass instead of dissolving.

Can You Pair a Coffee Gift With Something Homemade?

Absolutely, and it makes even a small gift feel special. Tuck a bag of good coffee into a basket with a homemade treat to enjoy with it.

My Irresistible Mocha Coffee Cake is easy to bake ahead of time and pairs well with any coffee gift on this list.
